The Chinese setting is entertaining as it is not commonly seen. What further makes this movie entertaining is the connection it brings between the real world and it’s history and this new fantasy world.
The visuals are fantastic, especially the design and colors of the uniforms and clothing. The battle sequences are entertaining to watch as the diversity of the Nameless Order’s army is like no other.

The Great Wall Movie was a roller coaster. Even though it’s fantasy, there are historical elements. Impressive battle sequences. A simple and coherent story. In short, it’s beautiful and have substance; something a lot of movies recently lack. The honor and brotherhood within the army was inspiring. The funeral scene is so powerful, made me want to learn the language to sing that song.
